Suggestion: If you are looking for a church home, please consider visiting all of the services. Each service -Sunday School, both Sunday services, and the Wednesday evening service - is different. It is difficult to know what a church is like after only one visit. Each of the services presents a different aspect of who we are as a church. We believe that if you are looking for a place that loves the Lord, that accurately teaches the Bible, that prays faithfully, and that encourages one another in the Lord, that Grace Baptist Church may be just what you need!
What's a normal service like?
Most services are preceded by several minutes of mingling and fellowship. We start with a greeting and an opening song from the hymnal. We then have an opening prayer, followed by several minutes of greeting those around you. We then sing a couple more songs with announcements interspersed. (We do not publicly recognize visitors, but you will be greeted by those around you during the fellowship time and the pastor will greet you as you leave the building.) Just before the message, we will have a piano or vocal special intended for personal reflection and meditation. The pastor will preach a message which typically lasts from 35-45 minutes; the preaching is the “verse-by-verse” method which explains and applies different portions of the Bible. We do not usually have a “come forward” type of invitation, but an encouragement to let the Holy Spirit apply the message to your heart and life. We then close with a final song and prayer. After the service, the pastor is always at the back door to greet each person as they leave.
For first-time visitors: If you could fill out one of the visitor cards at the blue table in the back, the pastor will be able to get back with you.

What facilities are available?
Handicap Accessibility: Our restrooms are fully handicap accessible, and the front door is wheelchair accessible. Also, the whole building is on one level.
|
Nursery: We have a nursery available for younger children, which is staffed by mature ladies during every service. Some parents choose to keep their children with them in the auditorium, and just move to the back if a child gets fidgety. Don't be embarrassed if your child starts crying in the middle of the service; you aren't the first one.

What About an offering?
What's there for my family?
We have optional Sunday school classes from nursery through high school, and an adult Sunday school class. Primarily, we are a family oriented church; the children/young people get much fellowship before, between, and after the services. Our church families often visit with one another for 20 to 30 minutes after each service. We also have an annual VBS.

WHICH VERSION OF THE BIBLE IS USED?
WHAT'S THE MUSIC LIKE?
Our music is traditional and conservative, yet vibrant. Congregational hymn singing is accompanied by piano and organ. Before the sermon, there is also a piano or vocal special intended for personal meditation and reflection.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We believe that a church service should be given more respect than a ball game, so most of our people dress in “nice casual” to “dressy” clothing.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL THERE BE?
For a normal Sunday morning service we will have about 50 people in attendance; the age range is from infants to nineties.
